Affiliate disclosure

Required by the US Federal Trade Commission, and worth reading anyway: this is exactly how we make money and what it does not buy.

Current status

As of {{LAUNCH_DATE}}, this site has no active affiliate programs and earns no commission from any gold buyer. Every outbound link is an ordinary link. If that changes, this page changes first, and the programs will be named here.

We are stating this plainly because most sites in this category carry a generic disclosure that implies relationships they may or may not have. Saying "we currently have none" is true and costs us nothing.

What may change

We intend to earn revenue in two ways: advertising, and affiliate commissions from gold buyers we list in a future verified payout index. If you contact a buyer through one of those links, we may be paid a commission or referral fee by that buyer. You will never pay more because of it.

Any such link will be:

  • Marked visibly as a partner link where it appears, not only in this policy.
  • Tagged rel="sponsored nofollow" in the HTML, so search engines are told about the relationship too.

What commissions do not affect

This is the part that matters, so it is stated without hedging:

  • Gold prices are not affected. Every price on this site is derived arithmetically from market spot data. There is no judgement in it and nothing for a commercial relationship to move.
  • Payout ranges are not affected. The ranges in our payout ladder come from the published methodology. They are not adjusted upward for buyers who pay us or downward for those who do not.
  • Listing is not for sale. When the verified buyer index exists, inclusion will be based on a buyer publishing their terms in writing. A buyer will not be able to purchase a better position, and a buyer who refuses to publish terms will not be listed at any price.

If we ever cannot honor that separation, the honest move is to say so here rather than quietly compromise the numbers. Hold us to it — {{CONTACT_EMAIL}}.

Advertising

This site displays third-party advertising. Advertisers have no input into our content, our prices or our payout estimates, and we do not review or endorse the products they advertise. See our privacy policy and cookie policy for how advertising cookies are handled and how to refuse them.
